The Case of the Book From Bogota

The photograph of a lizard-like dog creature which has been making the rounds on the internet is NOT fake. The man in the photo is now under police custody and faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, and animal cruelty. His wife is under charges as well, and their children have been taken into protective custody.

I just want to point out that the Weekly World News reporters did NOT scoop us on this, in spite of their day’s head start on us, and that we saved their lives. But that’s getting ahead of myself.

A man in the Ozark Mountains in Alabama came into possession of a book from Bogota. It was given to him more than a decade ago by the thankfully deceased Cornelius Boyle, and the book had some secrets Man was not meant to know.

The man was able to contact interdimensional creatures called Boschala. He called them by the release of psychic energies released upon death. First, he killed the animals he owned. Then, he stole animals from his neighbors and caught what he could in the wilderness around his shack.

Finally, he moved on to people. Wendy and I were almost part of that ritual, but Wendy was able to convince the man to spare us. He instead turned on his neighbors and our counterpart reporters from the Weekly World News. We were able to keep them alive, but only barely. With me reading the Spanish language of the sorcerer’s book and Wendy to apply its principles, we were able to send the Boschala back to their home dimension and rescue the innocent bystanders.

I don’t think I want to head out on any long range hikes anytime soon.
